The General Overseer of the Seed of Life Golden Church, Prophet S.M.O. Mustapha, has urged the people of the state to pray against violence during and after November’s election in the state.

Speaking exclusively to Vanguard in Lokoja last weekend, the cleric expressed worry over plans by politicians to foment trouble during the election, adding that God was prepared to rescue the state from blood-thirsty politicians.

“I am from Kogi State and I am concerned about the welfare of my people. The spiritual signal I am getting is worrying. We need to seek the face of God to avert bloodbath before, during and after the election,” he said.

He called on Christians in the state to seek the face of the Lord to avert the impending violence, warning politicians to show exemplary leadership.

“From now, the headquarters of our church in Ibadan will continue to pray toward the election. But the people of Kogi must also join us in praying to God for peace during the election,” the Isanlu-born prophet said.

In the same vein, reminiscent of his prophecy concerning the election of President Muhammadu Buhari, Prophet Mustapha said God has decided to use the election to bring out the glory of Kogi State.
