The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim, yesterday condemned the bombing of Tao FM radio in Adavi LGA of Kogi State which claimed four lives.
The traditional ruler who was at the premises of the radio station in Kuroko to inspect the level of damage done to the station yesterday promised to assist security agencies get the perpetrators.
According to him, hoodlums and assailants have been terrorizing the area with impunity, and this recent inhuman act will not go unpunished.
“This attack is a complete shame to the entire Ebiraland and the state government . This radio has been serving the people, the staff have done what we did not expect in the area of sensitizing the community on how best they can live together in harmony. The peaceful elections conducted across the area a few weeks ago was as a result of the good work of Tao FM,” he said.
While calling on the police to provide adequate security of lives and property, he urged them to intensify efforts in investigation and information gathering to enable them curb the excesses of hoodlums.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Samuel Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, assured the community that investigation to apprehend the perpetrators had commenced.
He however appealed to the people to assist the police with useful information to enable them curb crime in the area, promising to beef up security around the radio station.
