Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi, has restated the commitment of the state government to rid the state of kidnappers and other criminal elements.
Wada said this on Saturday in Lokoja, when he visited the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh Jimoh Lawal, in his residence to rejoice with him as he reunited with his two children.
The Speaker’s two children were kidnapped two months ago in Lokoja.
Wada, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Yomi Awoniyi, said that the safe recovery of the children was a testimony of the support the government had accorded security agencies in the state.
The governor assured that the government would continue to support the security agencies with adequate logistics to enable them perform optimally.
According to him, this is to ensure the protection of lives and properties of people of the state and to enable them sleep with their two eyes closed.

Wada also commended the security agencies in the state for their efforts in rescuing and reuniting the children with the Speaker and his family and for making the state habitable.
