The Kogi state Auditor General has asked the management of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to present its audited report within next the next two weeks or face the wrath of the law.

This was contained in letter signed by one P. E. Atakida and addressed to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly.

The Auditor General alleged that records of transactions were not properly kept by SUBEB in the last 20 years.

“There was no audited report by SUBEB from 1994 to 2010,” the Auditor General said.

It was gathered that the Office of the Auditor General had earlier mandated the SUBEB to present its audited report forthwith through a letter with reference number KG/ ANS/32/VOL IV/512.

The SUBEB was said have provided audited report for only from 2005 to 2010, but allegedly refused to present those of 1994 to 2004 and 2011to 2013.

The Auditor General, therefore, urged SUBEB to present the full audited reports within next two weeks.
