A concerned teacher in Ajaokuta Local Government sent a passionate appeal to the Chairman of Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Jubrin Usman, to come to their aid as the Education Secretary of Ajaokuta Local Government Education Authority is allegedly embezzling monies meant for their salaries.
According to the aggrieved teacher, Mr K. B. Rabani, “the education secretary of Ajaokuta Local Government, Mr Salihu Otupi, have completely embezzled the teachers salary as he refused to pay some of the authentic teachers”.
“More than 70 teachers have not been receiving their salary since April whereas they were cleared by the screening reports. Meanwhile the Education Secretary has filled the pay voucher with ghost names in order to enrich himself. I am appealing to the state SUBEB to come to our assistace.
