The Chairman of Kogi United Football Club, Mallam Abdul Adama has revealed that the superb performance of Remo Stars FC against Enyimba FC in the 2013 Federation Cup at Lokoja played a significant role in the choice of Fatai Osho as coach of the Lokoja- based club.
Mallam Adama who spoke through the club media officer, Samuel Ahmadu yesterday, disclosed that no fewer than fifteen high- profile coaches applied for the vacant post including two from Spain and Portugal in Europe.
The Kogi born Football manager disclosed that the appointment followed the endorsement from stakeholders, who watched the 2013 Federation Cup encounter between Remo Stars FC and Enyimba FC earlier this year after many consultations.
Adama equally expressed delight in the acquisition of one of the best youthful coaches in the country, trusted the coming of Osho will bring the best of Nigeria football to Kogi State and promised to ensure the technical crew suffers no interference and continual enabling environment to record success at the club.
