The petition by some PDP Elders to President Goodluck Jonathan against the Kogi State Governor have been out-rightly condemned by the Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party from Kogi Central Senatorial District.
A statement jointly signed by PDP North zonal Financial Secretary Isiyaka Usman Akanson and former special assistant on education to the governor, Momoh Steve Aziz respectively, said the allegations against the governor were false and unfounded.
The duo urged President Goodluck Jonathan to discountenance the petition from the elders of the PDP, saying that most of the signatories to the petition contested the governorship position with Governor Wada and lost.
The statement indicated that the group has never identified with the people of the state even when it was ravaged by flood as well as the killing of worshipers at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Okene, adding that they were out to cause disaffection in the state.
The statement said Governor Wada runs an open door policy and that the petition was meant to divert his attention from his transformation of the state, calling on the party to re-examine its re-admission policy for people who have hidden agenda and divided loyalty.
