As political alignments gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Win With Tinubu (WWT) Kogi State Project has finalized arrangements to host a strategic Town Hall Meeting for the Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency and the wider Kogi East Senatorial District.
The high-powered gathering, scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the New Man Hotel (formerly M & G Hotel) along the Anyigba–Itobe Road in Anyigba, Dekina local government, will commence at 12:00 noon.
Organizers have declared that the event marks the sixth iteration in a nationwide and state-wide series designed to foster grassroots democratic engagement, strengthen political cohesion, and advance sustainable community development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In an official statement released in Lokoja, Chief Media Strategist for the WWT Kogi State Project, Musa Bakare, emphasized that the meeting goes beyond routine political rhetoric. He described the assembly as a crucial intervention aimed at uniting critical stakeholders across Kogi East to align local development priorities with national progress.
According to the convener, the core message driving the initiative centers on unity, collective action, and decisive civic participation. The platform seeks to connect political leaders, traditional institutions, religious leaders, youth organizations, women groups, farmers, traders, artisans, and community-based organizations to consolidate a shared vision for the senatorial district and the state at large.
Bakare reaffirmed that the Win With Tinubu initiative remains deeply invested in mobilizing citizens at the grassroots, building enduring political structures, and promoting purposeful governance. He stressed that leadership must ultimately be judged by service and that political participation must yield tangible socio-economic dividends for everyday Nigerians.
The organizers noted that the Anyigba Town Hall Meeting serves as a strategic springboard for consolidating support for President Tinubu, All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, and party candidates ahead of the January 2027 polls.
The leadership of the WWT Project extended a broad invitation to all APC executives, supporters, community influencers, and well-meaning residents of the Dekina/Bassa constituency to attend in large numbers and actively participate in shaping the political and developmental trajectory of Kogi East.
