Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on Saturday hosted the newly crowned Little Miss Nigeria 2026, Queen Aisha Salau Audu, at the Government House in Lokoja, praising the young achiever for bringing national honor to the state.
Queen Aisha, a 10-year-old Ebira indigene and the immediate past Little Miss Kogi, emerged as the overall winner of the national pageant. She was accompanied to the executive reception by Queen Pristine Somadina Chinedu, who represented Imo State, finished as the second runner-up, and secured the Little Miss Nigeria International crown.
The visit highlighted the Kogi State administration’s ongoing commitment to encouraging youth excellence, nurturing children’s talents, and creating supportive platforms for young people to thrive. Governor Ododo commended Queen Aisha’s outstanding performance, noting that her victory serves as a profound source of collective pride and proves that children from the state can compete successfully on the national stage.

Expressing appreciation for the warm reception, Queen Aisha thanked the governor and the people of Kogi State for celebrating her milestone. She pledged to represent the state with dignity and serve as a positive role model for her peers.


Organizers noted that the Little Miss Nigeria pageant is designed to foster confidence, leadership, cultural awareness, and positive self-expression among children. The visit concluded with state officials emphasizing the importance of continued investments in youth potential and programs that allow young Nigerians to discover and develop their abilities.
