The National Association of Ajaokuta Students (NAAS), led by its President, Comr. Mudasir, has commended the Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Sanni Abdulraheem, for his contributions to education and youth development, particularly his scholarship support for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Responding to the commendations, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi urged the students to focus less on what he had already accomplished and more on areas requiring further intervention.
“I know what I have done. Don’t tell me what I have done, tell me what I haven’t done. Tell me where the challenges are and what requires my attention.”

The students subsequently presented a number of education-focused requests, including the return of NYSC corps members to Adogo to strengthen teaching in primary and secondary schools, provision of a Bus to convey tertiary students to their various institutions during resumption periods, sustenance of the SEA scholarship programme, collaboration on forthcoming education initiatives, establishment of a JAMB Computer-Based Test centre in Eganyi, and sponsorship of JAMB tutorials to improve students’ performance.
In response, Rt. Hon. Sanni disclosed that his office had already commenced the collation of comprehensive data on students from Ajaokuta, noting that the database would make educational interventions more targeted and effective.

He commended the students for presenting what he described as “brilliant, issue-based requests” and assured them of his continued support to education under the leadership of Gov Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo
The lawmaker also noted that his interventions would complement the efforts of His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, including the payment of bursaries, as well as Federal Government initiatives such as the student loan programme. He rally support for President Tinubu, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for Senate & every other APC candidates..
Rep Sanni further pledged continued collaboration with NAAS and other student bodies to advance educational opportunities for young people in Ajaokuta.
The meeting ended with the students unanimously endorsing Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for continued representation, citing his visible impact in education and other areas of constituency development.
