Ododo’s Grassroots Sensitization Aide, Austine Alaba Medaiyedu Appoints 12 Special Assistants in Kabba-Bunu

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Grassroots Sensitisation, Hon. Austine Alaba Medaiyedu, has appointed twelve Special Assistants across Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state.

The appointments were announced on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Medaiyedu’s residence in Kabba, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement, sensitisation and mobilisation across the local government.

According to the information made available to Our Heritage Reporter, the newly appointed aides are expected to support grassroots sensitisation activities and deepen engagement with residents and stakeholders across Kabba-Bunu with working monthly remuneration.

The initiative also forms part of preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the appointees expected to participate in grassroots mobilisation for the re-election campaigns of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, and also my little way of giving back to my constituents from the little I have Medaiyedun said.

According to him, The development comes against the backdrop of Governor Ododo’s recent directive to political appointees to return to their constituencies and intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Governor had urged appointees to engage community leaders, youths, women and other stakeholders while communicating the policies and programmes of both the Kogi State and Federal Governments.

This appointments therefore signal an effort to establish a wider grassroots structure in Kabba-Bunu, with the Special Assistants expected to serve as points of contact within their respective areas and contribute to information dissemination and political mobilisation, he noted.

This appointment of the twelve Special Assistants is consequently expected to complement the broader grassroots engagement strategy of the administration and the APC structure in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. Austine Alaba Medaiyedu concluded.

8: Ibiteye Ayo  – Bolorundoro/ Odo-Akete Ward

9: Bose Ojo – Okedayo Ward

10: Mrs Adeyemi Matilda – Odolu Ward

11: Mr Sunday Kuti – Olle/Okeofin Ward

12: Johnson Ibilona Titilayo – Aiyetoro Kiri Ward
