Chief David Dare Olatunde, the Mayegun of Isanlu Land, was on Saturday inaugurated as the Kogi State Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG).
He was inaugurated alongside other state coordinators and national officials of TSG 2.0 in Kano.
Political pundits says the appointment reflects long-standing recognition of Chief Mayegun’s political commitment, organisational capacity, and consistent support for the leadership and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Widely regarded as a respected political leader and grassroots mobiliser, his emergence as coordinator is expected to strengthen the Tinubu administration’s support base across Kogi State, particularly through engagement with stakeholders, youth groups, community leaders, and other key constituencies.
“With the 2027 political season steadily approaching, the coordinatorship carries weight beyond a ceremonial title. Chief Mayegun now takes on the task of deepening grassroots mobilisation, communicating the achievements of the Renewed Hope Administration, and building a stronger, more united structure of support for President Tinubu’s continued leadership,” Dr. Ibrahim Adebayo said.
Observers say residents of Kogi State can expect renewed energy and more strategic, purposeful grassroots engagement under his coordination in the months ahead.
Political associates and supporters have extended congratulations to Chief Mayegun on the appointment and inauguration, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his years of service to the movement.
