Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN has welcomed scores of decampees from various political parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okura District, Dekina Local Government Area, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive leadership, equity, and equal opportunities for all party members.
Addressing the new members during the decamping ceremony on Saturday, Hon. Gowon expressed appreciation for their confidence in his leadership and in the APC. He assured the defectors that their decision to join the party would be met with fairness, respect, and a strong sense of belonging.
He emphasized that the APC remains a political family in which every member has a role to play in strengthening the party and advancing its collective interests ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mr. Mark Adah, who led the delegation, pledged their unwavering loyalty to the APC and its leadership. He assured the party of their commitment to mobilizing support and working tirelessly for the success of the party and its candidates.
The ceremony was witnessed by prominent APC leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Alhassa Oguh, APC Zonal Chairman, Kogi East; Hon. Yunusa Ishaq, APC Divisional Chairman, Dekina LGA; Hajia Rashidatu Rhoda, Vice Chairman, Dekina LGA; Hon. Bilal, APC Zonal Youth Leader, Kogi East; Alhaji Salami Abdullahi Asta, APC elder statesman; and several other party leaders and supporters.
