Today, I join family, friends, associates, colleagues, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond to celebrate an exceptional man, Dr. Adebobola Bashorun, a distinguished traditional title holder in Emure Kingdom and the National Coordinator of NASCAP.
Dr. Bashorun represents a rare combination of leadership, humility, generosity, courtesy, and service to humanity. While many people are defined by their titles, positions, and achievements, he is better remembered by the lives he has touched, the opportunities he has created, and the positive impact he continues to make in society.
For me personally, celebrating Dr. Bashorun is deeply meaningful because his kindness has created experiences in my life that I will forever cherish. Through his generosity and influence, I had the privilege of visiting Ekiti State for the very first time. He also made it possible for me to experience something that was completely new to me at the time—the opportunity to board a local flight to Kano for the first time.

These experiences may appear ordinary to some people, but they remain special memories to me because they are connected to a man who was willing to open doors and create opportunities for others. That, to me, is one of the clearest marks of genuine greatness.
Beyond his personal kindness, Dr. Bashorun has demonstrated an impressive commitment to public service and the advancement of humanity. As the National Coordinator of NASCAP, his role in the fight against HIV/AIDS deserves commendation and recognition.
The fight against HIV/AIDS requires more than policies and programmes. It requires compassion, courage, consistency, advocacy, and a genuine concern for human lives. It requires leaders who understand that behind every statistic is a human being, a family, and a community. Dr. Bashorun’s commitment in this area reflects the spirit of service and responsibility that should define leadership in the health sector.
His efforts toward addressing the challenges associated with HIV/AIDS and improving awareness and support for affected and vulnerable communities are a testament to his dedication to making a difference. At a time when the world continues to confront public-health challenges, individuals who devote their energy and influence to saving lives and improving the well-being of others deserve to be celebrated.
His traditional title in Emure Kingdom is also a reflection of the respect and honour he commands. However, what makes him truly exceptional is not the title itself, but the character behind it. His humility, accessibility, courtesy, generosity, and willingness to assist others have earned him admiration from people whose paths he has crossed.
Dr. Bashorun has shown that leadership is not simply about being at the top. Leadership is about lifting others, creating opportunities, encouraging people, and leaving every place and every person better than one found them.
As he celebrates another year today, it is my sincere prayer that God Almighty will continue to bless him abundantly. May God grant him long life, sound health, wisdom, peace, grace, divine protection, and greater accomplishments.
May his new age open the door to even greater opportunities for service and impact. May his strength be renewed, his vision enlarged, and his efforts rewarded with remarkable success. May he continue to be a source of encouragement and blessing to his family, friends, associates, Emure Kingdom, Ekiti State, NASCAP, the fight against HIV/AIDS, and the wider society.
Most importantly, may the Almighty grant him the grace to enjoy the fruits of his labour and the privilege of witnessing the positive difference his life has made in the lives of countless people.
On this special occasion, I say thank you, Sir, for the kindness, opportunities, experiences, encouragement, and memories. Some gestures may seem small when they happen, but their significance can remain with a person for a lifetime. Your generosity has certainly left such an impression on me.
As you celebrate this new chapter, please be assured that you are not only being celebrated for what you have achieved, but also for who you are and the lives you continue to touch.
Happy Birthday, Chief Dr. Adebobola Bashorun!
May your new age be filled with God’s favour, endless blessings, greater achievements, peace, happiness, and fulfilment.
You are deeply appreciated, highly respected, and sincerely celebrated. Happy Birthday once again, Sir!
