The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has restored four additional State House of Assembly constituencies that were previously left off its electoral map, one in Kogi State and three in Delta State, following court judgments ordering their reinstatement.
The newly restored constituencies are Yagba West II in Kogi State, Abraka, Isoko North II, and Ughelli South II in Delta State.
INEC announced that party primaries for the restored constituencies will hold from August 21 to 25, 2026.
The Commission said all other timelines in its already-published revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2027 General Election remain in force for the restored constituencies, and it called on political parties to submit notices of their primaries ahead of the scheduled dates.
“The Commission remains committed to ensuring credible, inclusive, and transparent electoral processes,” said Mohammed Kudu Haruna, National Commissioner and Chairman of INEC’s Information and Voter Education Committee, in a statement announcing the restorations.
