Lokoja/Abuja — The Kogi Anti-Internet Fraud Team (KAiFT) has paid a working visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NiTDA) in a bid to broaden the scope and impact of its campaign against internet fraud in Kogi State.
The team was led by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters, Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, and was received at the agency’s headquarters by the Acting Director-General of NiTDA, Dr. Oladejo Olawumi.
During the visit, Hon. Eleta briefed NiTDA officials on the achievements recorded by the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, in the fight against internet fraud since the official flag-off of the KAiFT campaign on 25th May 2026.
The KAiFT team also presented a number of proposals and requests to NiTDA, which, if implemented, are expected to significantly benefit students and young people across Kogi State.
Both parties used the engagement to explore areas of collaboration and discuss practical steps toward strengthening efforts to discourage internet fraud while promoting responsible and productive use of technology among young people in the state.
The meeting was rounded off with a facility tour of the NiTDA complex, giving the KAiFT delegation a firsthand look at the agency’s operations and infrastructure.
Other members of the KAiFT team in attendance included Hon. Yetunde Olubunmi Hamza, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Government House Legal Matters; Hon. Favor Avosuahi Amodu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Human Trafficking; and Hon. Clement Daudu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Private Education Institutions.
The visit is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the Kogi State Government to collaborate with relevant federal agencies in tackling cybercrime and safeguarding the future of the state’s youth.
