The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ogugu State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Michael Samuel Idoko, has paid glowing tribute to renowned public administrator and humanitarian, Dr. Mrs. Jumai Ahmadu, describing her as “a woman whose life has become a symbol of compassion, excellence and selfless service to humanity.”

In a goodwill message issued on the occasion of Dr. Ahmadu’s birthday, Idoko said the celebration was not merely about marking another year in her life but about honouring an enduring legacy of public service, intellectual excellence, and humanitarian commitment that has continued to transform lives across Nigeria.

According to him, Dr. Ahmadu’s remarkable contributions to governance, education, philanthropy, and community development have placed her among the most distinguished daughters of the Igala nation.

“In every generation, history presents society with a few exceptional individuals whose lives transcend personal accomplishments and become enduring symbols of hope, compassion, and selfless service. Dr. Mrs. Jumai Ahmadu is undoubtedly one of those rare personalities,” Idoko said.

The PDP standard-bearer noted that the celebrant’s distinguished career as a Director in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), coupled with her academic achievements and humanitarian interventions, had earned her widespread respect both within and outside Nigeria.

He described her as a visionary leader whose dedication to strengthening public institutions and advancing good governance continues to inspire younger generations.

“This celebration is far more than the commemoration of another birthday. It is an opportunity to acknowledge a life dedicated to excellence, integrity, intellectual accomplishment, and an uncommon passion for the welfare of others. Her life continually reminds us that genuine leadership finds its highest expression in service,” he stated.

Idoko also praised Dr. Ahmadu’s academic accomplishments, noting that her publications on governance, public administration, leadership, and national development have made significant contributions to policy discourse and intellectual development in Nigeria.

The lawmaker hopeful, however, said her greatest achievements could not be measured solely by professional success or academic credentials, but by the thousands of vulnerable Nigerians whose lives have been transformed through her humanitarian interventions.

He commended the work of the Helpline Social Support Initiative, formerly known as the Helpline Foundation for the Needy, which he said has provided hope to widows, orphans, women, children, persons living with disabilities, students, and other disadvantaged members of society through educational support, healthcare programmes, humanitarian assistance, poverty alleviation, and economic empowerment initiatives.

Idoko particularly applauded Dr. Ahmadu’s decision to once again dedicate her birthday celebration to serving the less privileged rather than organising an elaborate personal celebration.

“Perhaps the greatest testimony to her selfless disposition is that even on the occasion of her birthday, she has chosen to celebrate by giving back to society. That singular decision perfectly captures the essence of who she is—a woman whose greatest joy comes not from receiving applause, but from restoring dignity to the forgotten, strengthening the weak, and putting smiles on the faces of those burdened by life’s harsh realities,” he said.

He further lauded her unwavering advocacy for the education and empowerment of the girl child, describing her as a role model whose mentorship and encouragement have inspired countless young women to pursue excellence and leadership.

“Dr. Jumai Ahmadu has consistently demonstrated that every educated girl represents an investment in the future of families, communities, and the nation. Her commitment to mentoring young women and promoting educational advancement deserves the highest commendation,” Idoko added.

The PDP candidate said that in a society where leadership is increasingly judged by influence and material success, Dr. Ahmadu continues to exemplify the timeless values of integrity, sacrifice, compassion, and service to humanity.

He stressed that her numerous honours and recognitions are fitting acknowledgements of a life devoted to uplifting others, while noting that her greatest reward remains the gratitude and prayers of those whose lives have been positively impacted by her generosity.

“As a fellow son of Ogugu, I celebrate Dr. Mrs. Jumai Ahmadu with immense pride. She has become a worthy ambassador of Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State, and indeed the entire Igala nation. Her life reminds us that true greatness is not measured by the wealth we accumulate, but by the hope we inspire, the opportunities we create, and the lives we positively transform,” he stated.

Idoko concluded by praying for God’s continued grace upon the celebrant.

“On behalf of my family and supporters, I warmly congratulate Dr. Mrs. Jumai Ahmadu on this joyous occasion. I pray that Almighty God grants her sound health, abundant grace, renewed strength, greater wisdom, and many more fruitful years of impactful service to humanity. May her light continue to illuminate lives, and may her enduring legacy of compassion and excellence remain a beacon of hope for generations to come,” he said.
