The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Yagba West State Constituency, Mr Toyosi Akure, has assured constituents that he will remain accessible, responsive and accountable if elected into the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Akure gave the assurance while interacting with supporters and residents during his ongoing consultations across communities in the constituency.
He said effective representation goes beyond making laws, stressing that it also requires constant engagement with the people to understand their needs and aspirations.

According to him, every constituent deserves to have a representative who is available, listens to their concerns and works tirelessly to address issues affecting their Yagba West.
“I will be accessible and responsive to every constituent. My office will always remain open to the people because leadership is about service, listening and delivering results,” he said.
Akure pledged to maintain regular consultations with traditional rulers, youth groups, women, community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure that the interests of the constituency were adequately represented.
He added that his focus would be on promoting quality legislation, attracting development projects and advocating policies that would improve the welfare of the people.
The ADC candidate urged residents to support his aspiration, promising to provide inclusive and people-centred representation.
He reiterated his commitment to transparency, accountability and effective communication, saying the confidence reposed in him by the electorate would never be taken for granted.
Akure also called for peaceful political engagement, urging supporters to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the electioneering period.
