In today’s political setting, where rumours and misinformation spread rapidly across social media, it has become necessary to set the record straight regarding the relationship between two respected political figures, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
For years, both leaders have maintained a relationship founded on mutual respect, loyalty, and a common desire to advance the interests of Kogi State and Nigeria at large. Their association is not one built merely on political convenience but on years of friendship, understanding, and shared political experiences.

Those who are familiar with the political history of Kogi State know that Yahaya Bello and James Faleke have consistently demonstrated admiration and respect for one another. On numerous occasions, both leaders have publicly celebrated each other’s achievements, acknowledged each other’s contributions to the growth of the state, and stood together in moments of political triumph and challenge.
Whenever Rt. Hon. James Faleke records legislative achievements or receives recognition for his service to the people, Yahaya Bello’s supporters are often among the first to celebrate such milestones. Likewise, whenever Yahaya Bello achieves political successes or receives commendation for his contributions to governance, Faleke’s admirers and political associates have never hidden their appreciation and goodwill.
Their relationship has always sent a strong message that politics should not be about bitterness and division but about collaboration, mutual support, and collective progress. This is one of the reasons many grassroots supporters across Kogi State continue to hold both leaders in high regard.
Recently, some individuals took to social media to circulate stories suggesting that Yahaya Bello and James Faleke had become political rivals. Such narratives appear aimed at creating confusion among supporters and manufacturing a crisis where none exists. Unfortunately, this has become a common tactic employed by political mischief-makers who thrive on division and controversy.
However, the people at the grassroots understand the reality. They know that genuine relationships cannot be destroyed by social media speculation. They have witnessed over the years how both leaders have maintained cordial engagements, exchanged goodwill, and continued to demonstrate respect for each other’s political journeys.
The impact of these two leaders on Kogi State cannot be ignored. Through their respective contributions, they have inspired countless young people to participate in politics, strengthened democratic engagement, and provided leadership that has influenced many communities across the state and beyond.
What many ordinary citizens admire most is their ability to place the larger interest of the people above personal sentiments. Their political maturity has helped foster unity among supporters who recognize that leadership is most effective when built on cooperation rather than conflict.
As political activities continue to gather momentum, supporters and members of the public should be wary of those who seek to profit from division. The strength of any political movement lies in unity, mutual respect, and a commitment to the common good.
The relationship between Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke remains a testament to the fact that political leaders can maintain respect, friendship, and cooperation despite the noise of political speculation. Their enduring bond continues to serve as an example to the younger generation of politicians that loyalty, respect, and shared purpose remain invaluable virtues in public life.
For the grassroots supporters who have followed both leaders over the years, the message is clear: rumors will come and go, but genuine relationships built on trust, respect, and a shared vision for progress will always stand the test of time.
