The African Democratic Congress, ADC, House of Representatives Candidate for Yagba Federal Constituency, Chief Dayo Akande, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba Kayode Atteh, the Oludero of Otafun Amuro in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, Akande described the demise of the monarch as “a painful loss” not only to the people of Otafun Amuro but to the entire Yagba Federal Constituency.
He said Kabiyesi’s reign was defined by humility, wisdom, and fatherly leadership. According to him, the late royal father was unwavering in his commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of his people.

“The late Oba Kayode Atteh was a respected traditional ruler whose counsel, integrity, and dedication to community development earned him admiration across the constituency,” Akande stated. “He was a custodian of our rich cultural heritage and a royal father whose legacy of selfless service will continue to inspire generations to come.”
The ADC candidate extended his condolences to the immediate family of the late monarch, the Otafun Amuro Traditional Council, the people of Otafun Amuro, and the entire traditional institution in Mopamuro Local Government Area.
He also sympathized with supporters of the Dayo Akande Campaign Organization and all those grieving the loss.
Akande prayed to Almighty God to grant the late Kabiyesi eternal rest, and to give the family, subjects, and the entire community the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he concluded.
