…. Condoles Sheikh Yusuf Alokojy
Ustaz Abubakar Zakari Ola has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Sayyidah Hafsat Shehu, wife of Sheikh Yusuf Alokojy and mother of Khalifa Sheikh Yusuf Sheikh Muhammad Nurudeen Yusuf Abdullah.
In a statement released on Sunday in Lokoja, Ustaz Abubakar Zakari Ola described the late Sayyidah Hafsat as a virtuous mother and a steadfast companion in the path of faith whose life reflected patience, humility, and devotion to family and community.
“Her departure is a great loss not only to the family of Sheikh Yusuf Alokojy but to the entire Muslim ummah in Kogi State. She stood as a pillar behind a household of knowledge and service, raising children who continue to uphold the values of Islam,” the statement read.
Ustaz Abubakar Zakari Ola extended heartfelt condolences to Khalifa Sheikh Yusuf Muhammad Nurudeen Yusuf Abdullah, and the entire family. He prayed that Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, illuminate her grave, and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
“We share in your grief at this difficult time. May Allah give the family the fortitude to bear this loss and may her legacy of righteousness continue to inspire us all,” he added.
He urged the Muslim community to remember the family in prayers and to draw lessons from the late Sayyidah Hafsat’s life of quiet service and commitment to faith.
