Kogi East APC Stakeholders Declares Support for Tinubu’s Re- Election

Kogi East APC Stakeholders under the auspices of the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF) Kogi East Chapter has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinibu.

The stakeholders made this known at a One Day Strategic Review Meeting organized to formulate potent strategies towards winning elections for the President and other APC candidates in Kogi East.

In his opening remarks, the State Coordinator of the Forum, Hon. Sani Philips stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed credibly well under the Renewed Hope Agenda Program despite the numerous challenges he met when he took over the reigns of affairs in the country.

Sani described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a reformer highlighting several economic reforms initiated by the President in various sectors of the economy.

“On economic reforms and fiscal policy, the administration removed the fraudulent petrol subsidy and unified the official foreign exchange market to boost revenue and restore macroeconomic stability.

“Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR Nigeria’s Gross external reserves reached $51.04 billion by mid- June 2026, the highest level recorded in roughly 17 years. This achievement is made possible by sustained foreign exchange inflows, improved oil revenues, and foreign investor participation in fixed – income markets.

“On Education and Youth Empowerment, the President established the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to provide interest free loans to students in tertiary institutions.

“On Agriculture and Food Security, the government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared a state of emergency on food insecurity and launched a N100 billion Agricultural Development fund. The administration also introduced the National Livestock Program to improve productivity and resolve farmer – header crises.

“On Infrastructure and Transportation, heavy investments are being channeled into projects across the country like the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway and the Kano – Maradi Railway,” he said.

Sani further stated that Kogi East has no business being in the opposition as the ruling party provides the opportunity for sustainable growth and development not only for the zone but for the country at-large.

On her part, the Zonal Woman leader of the forum, Mrs Florence Achoba commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating several major development projects for women, notably amongst which are the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) led in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady with wide reaching schemes such as the N50,000 grant program for women traders and the Inspire initiative designed to advance women’s leadership and inclusion in the Federal Civil Service.

The Zonal Coordinator of the Forum representing Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Egwudah seized the opportunity to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assent to the bill for the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre, Ankpa which is currently before him.

Egwudah also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to approve the construction of the Otuocha – Ibaji- Idah road, a critical 90 kilometer interstate highway connecting Anambra and Kogi States.

Egwudah stated that the regional and economic importance of the road when constructed, cannot be overemphasized as the road will link many agrarian rural communities to major hubs, shorten travel time as the corridor links the industrialized south east commercial hubs to North Central transit network and improve the local economy of the zone.

The forum commended the Senator representing Kogi East, Senator Jubril Isah Echocho for his numerous projects and programs which has impacted positively on the lives of the people of Kogi East, serving as the only motivation for the electorates to vote for the party in the upcoming elections.

The forum further vowed to triple the votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s in the Zone through a robust and all inclusive campaign.
