The Hon. James Abiodun Faleke Solidarity Movement Worldwide (JAFSMW) has strongly condemned the remarks made by former member representing Kabba/Bunu Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Alfred Bello, during a purported Kogi West stakeholders’ press conference held on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Hon. Bello, who currently serves as Commissioner in charge of Training at the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, reportedly called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to “call Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke to order,” alleging that the federal lawmaker was “causing problems everywhere” and that such actions could undermine the electoral fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Describing the allegations as baseless and unsupported by facts, JAFSMW challenged Hon. Bello to identify the specific “problems” he alleged Rt. Hon. Faleke was causing.

“It is not enough to make sweeping accusations before the public. The burden rests on Hon. Alfred Bello to provide concrete evidence in support of his claims. Political discourse must be guided by facts rather than speculation and sensationalism,” the Movement said in a statement signed by Ajibola James.

JAFSMW noted that the public record clearly demonstrates Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke’s unwavering support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. According to the Movement, Hon. Faleke has consistently encouraged his supporters to support Governor Ododo and has publicly pledged to support the Governor’s second-term aspiration.

“One is therefore compelled to ask whether Hon. Bello now considers support for Governor Ododo and the unity of the APC as the ‘problem’ he referred to,” the statement said.

The Movement further observed that Hon. Bello’s comments suggest either a misunderstanding of the cordial relationship between Governor Ododo and Rt. Hon. Faleke or an unnecessary attempt to create divisions where none exist.

“It is public knowledge that Governor Ododo and Rt. Hon. Faleke enjoy a relationship built on mutual respect and shared commitment to the progress of Kogi State and the APC. Any attempt to portray the two leaders as being at odds does not reflect political reality.”

JAFSMW also described as misplaced any suggestion that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could be influenced by what it called “unsupported allegations” against Rt. Hon. Faleke.

“The President and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke share a longstanding political relationship founded on loyalty, trust and years of dedicated service. It is unrealistic to believe that unsubstantiated claims would alter that relationship.”

While reaffirming its commitment to peace, unity and the continued success of the APC, JAFSMW urged political actors to avoid statements capable of creating unnecessary tension within the party.

“The people of Kogi West expect political leaders to promote unity, responsible engagement and issue-based politics. Personal attacks and divisive rhetoric do not advance the interests of our party or our state.”

The Movement reiterated that Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke remains committed to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and every genuine effort aimed at strengthening the APC and advancing the development of Kogi State.
