The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extended warm congratulations to Professor Paul Omojo Omaji on the occasion of his 70th birthday and thanksgiving celebration.
Speaking on behalf of the university’s Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students, Prof. Usman described the milestone as a remarkable blessing, noting that reaching seventy with a legacy of impactful scholarship, exemplary institutional leadership and enduring moral influence makes the occasion all the more worthy of celebration and gratitude.
“Attaining the age of seventy is, in itself, a remarkable blessing, and attaining it with a legacy of impactful scholarship, exemplary institutional leadership and enduring moral influence is truly worthy of celebration, honour and gratitude,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
Professor Paul Omojo Omaji is a prominent figure in Nigerian academia, having served as Vice-Chancellor of both Salem University and Admiralty University of Nigeria. His career is widely regarded as emblematic of the finest ideals of scholarship, mentorship, integrity and service.
Prof. Usman praised him as belonging to a distinguished generation of academics whose contributions transcend the classroom and the confines of their disciplines, adding that his dual tenure as a university head demonstrated a rare blend of intellectual acuity, administrative competence and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of society.
“His life remains a source of inspiration to all who have been blessed by his scholarship, leadership and exemplary character,” the Vice-Chancellor affirmed.
In closing his message, Prof. Usman joined family, friends and well-wishers in giving thanks to Almighty God for a life richly blessed and exceptionally impactful. He expressed prayers for Professor Omaji’s continued good health, divine favour, inner peace and renewed strength for even greater service in the years ahead.
“We pray that the years ahead will be graced with continued good health, divine favour, inner peace and renewed strength for even greater contributions to the service of God and humanity,” he said.
