Dr. Toyosi Akure, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Kogi State House of Assembly, Yagba West Constituency, has commiserated with the people of Odo Ere over the recent bandit attack on the community.
Akure, in a statement on Tuesday, described the killing of Mr. Ayo Olukotun, an NSCDC officer, and the abduction of his daughter as tragic and unfortunate.
He urged government at all levels to demonstrate greater commitment to addressing insecurity, stressing that citizens must see concrete efforts toward protecting lives and property.
The ADC candidate also called for intensified efforts to secure the release of the abducted victim and restore peace to affected communities.
