The Ododo/Halims Progressive Movement (OHPM)-2027 Media Team has said the experience and legislative influence of Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims remain crucial to the continued development of Ankpa Federal Constituency, urging constituents to support his return to the House of Representatives.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the group described Halims as a seasoned lawmaker whose years in the National Assembly have strengthened the constituency’s voice and visibility at the federal level.
The group noted that ranking lawmakers play strategic roles in the legislature because of their deep understanding of parliamentary processes, institutional relationships and ability to influence decisions that impact their constituencies.
According to the statement, Halims has built a reputation through active participation in legislative activities, oversight functions and constituency development programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
OHPM argued that continuity in leadership is essential for sustaining development, stressing that many projects and initiatives require long-term commitment and consistent follow-up before they can be fully realised.
The group maintained that Halims’ seniority in the House places him in a stronger position to attract federal projects, secure opportunities for constituents and advocate effectively for the needs of Ankpa Federal Constituency.
It also highlighted what it described as the lawmaker’s contributions to educational support, scholarship schemes, healthcare interventions, empowerment programmes and community development initiatives across the constituency.
“Experience remains one of the greatest assets in public service. Effective representation requires knowledge, negotiation skills and the ability to build productive relationships across government institutions,” the statement said.
The group added that retaining an experienced legislator would help consolidate previous achievements, ensure the completion of ongoing projects and create room for new developmental initiatives.
OHPM therefore called on constituents to support Halims’ political future, insisting that his experience and capacity remain vital to the growth and progress of Ankpa Federal Constituency.
