The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Ijumu State Constituency, Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY), has called on the people of Ijumu to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and shared responsibility as Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-ul-Adha.

In his Sallah message, MOY described Eid-ul-Adha as more than a religious celebration, saying it is a reminder that genuine progress and lasting development can only come when people are willing to make sacrifices for the common good.

According to him, the present situation in Ijumu demands collective efforts, sincere leadership, and a renewed commitment from everyone who truly desires a better future for the constituency.

“Eid teaches us obedience, sacrifice, love, and compassion. These are the same values we need today to rebuild our communities and restore the lost glory of Ijumu State Constituency,” he said.

MOY noted that the journey toward meaningful development cannot be left to government alone, stressing that youths, elders, women, community leaders, and stakeholders all have important roles to play in shaping a more progressive and united Ijumu.

He reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered representation, promising to continue pursuing policies and initiatives that will promote youth empowerment, quality education, infrastructural development, economic opportunities, and grassroots growth.

While congratulating Muslim faithful on the celebration, MOY also prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity across Ijumu land and Kogi State as a whole.

He urged residents to use the season as an opportunity to strengthen love for one another, support the less privileged, and work together for the advancement of the constituency.

“With unity, sacrifice, and strategic commitment, we can build an Ijumu that works for everyone,” MOY added.
