The Director General of the Kogi State Social Investment Programmes Agency (KOSSIPA), Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade, has extended warm felicitations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Muslim Ummah in Kogi State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In her Sallah message on Wednesday, Hajiya Omade described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred season of sacrifice, obedience, love, compassion and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

She called on Muslims and Nigerians at large to imbibe the virtues of peace, unity, tolerance, sacrifice and commitment to nation building, stressing that the values of the season should inspire citizens to support government efforts aimed at improving the lives of the people.

The KOSSIPA Director General commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his people-oriented leadership, developmental strides and unwavering commitment towards the welfare of Kogites, particularly women, youths and vulnerable groups across the state.

According to her, Governor Ododo has continued to demonstrate purposeful leadership through impactful governance, inclusive policies and sustained support for social intervention programmes designed to uplift the less privileged and strengthen grassroots development.

Hajiya Omade further urged citizens to use the festive period to pray for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Kogi State and Nigeria, while encouraging leaders at all levels to remain dedicated to justice, equity and service to humanity.

She also appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to remember the needy, widows, orphans and vulnerable persons during the celebration, noting that Eid-el-Kabir is not only a season of celebration but also a time to extend love and kindness to humanity.

“On behalf of the management and staff of KOSSIPA, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the entire Muslim Ummah on this joyous occasion. May Allah accept our sacrifices, answer our prayers and bless our state and nation with enduring peace, unity and abundance,” she stated.
