Nihi Commends Kogi Poly Rector for His Humility, Student-first Leadership

The Special Adviser on Youth and Student Matters to Kogi State Governor, Oladele John Nihi, has commended the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salihu Sanusi Avidime, for his humility, discipline, and student-first leadership.

Nihi gave the commendation when he led a delegation of student leaders from National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Student Union Government (SUG), tribal student union leaders of National Association of Ebira Students (NAES), National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) and Igala Student Association (ISA) on a courtesy visit to the rector in Lokoja on Friday to congratulate him on his 100 days in office.

He said the visit was a strong reaffirmation of the partnership between management and the student bodies to drive collective progress for Kogi State Polytechnic.

The Governor’s aide advocated for critical student welfare priorities, including stronger leadership collaboration, the structural return of tribal associations, improved campus water supply, and the improvement of learning environments.

He stated that Kogi State Polytechnic is in safe hands.

Professor Avidime, assured the delegation that active steps are already underway to address infrastructure, institutionalize student dues, and ensure his office remains open and supportive to all.
