The Ekinrin Community Youth Movement (ECYM) has officially announced that the 3rd Annual Youth Carnival is scheduled to take place on June 12th, 2026.
The announcement was made public by the President of the Youth Movement, Hon. Bidemi Oni, through the Publicity Secretary, Hon. Monday Oshatoba.
This year’s event is themed: “Redefining Youth Participation in Today’s Democracy.”

In a statement released to the press, Hon. Monday Oshatoba described the timing of this year’s carnival as highly strategic.
“By aligning the event with Nigeria’s Democracy Day, the movement aims to create a platform that is both celebratory and educational.
“This year is pivotal. By hosting our carnival on Democracy Day, we are creating a necessary avenue to sensitize our youth on their critical roles within our current democratic landscape and identifying specific areas where their participation can drive real change,” Oshatoba stated.
He stated that ECYM is dedicated to the empowerment, mobilization, and cultural preservation of the youth within Ekinrin.
“Through annual events and advocacy, the movement seeks to bridge the gap between traditional heritage and modern civic responsibility.
“The general public, stakeholders, and all sons and daughters of Ekinrin-Adde are cordially invited to witness this display of culture, intellect, and youthful energy,” he added.
