We, the concerned APC members in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, reject the APC Asuta Ward Executive Committee’s endorsement of Barr. Emmanuel Funsho Boluromi as the sole aspirant for Kogi State House of Assembly. This is a clear case of imposition, disregarding the party’s constitution and principles.
We demand a transparent and democratic process. No one should be above the party, and endorsements should reflect the will of the people, not just a few individuals.
We’ve noted that the aspirant has failed to deliver victory at the unit and ward levels since 2019, and we’re concerned that his endorsement is a recipe for disaster. The APC must prioritize merit and loyalty to the party. We can’t afford to reward mediocrity and undermine dedicated party members.
We urge the party leadership to intervene and ensure a fair primary election. The people of Kabba/Bunu deserve a representative who truly serves their interests. Let’s uphold transparency, accountability, and grassroots democracy.
