Call to Glory: An Icon Gone Home

It is with deep sorrow and total submission to the will of Almighty God that the family of Chief Atuluku Salifu (Aganyi Attah) announces the passing of their beloved son, father, elder statesman, and community leader, Hon. Daniel Atuluku, who has answered the call to eternal glory.

Hon. Daniel Atuluku was born on October 10, 1944, into the respected and noble family of Chief Atuluku Salifu. From his early years, he demonstrated discipline, courage, and an unwavering commitment to service—qualities that would define his entire life journey.

In pursuit of national service, he enlisted in the Nigerian Army, where he served with dedication before transferring to the Nigeria Police Force. His career in the police was marked by integrity, diligence, and a strong sense of duty, earning him respect among colleagues and the community alike. He eventually retired honorably as a police officer, fondly known by many as “Police Ogbaja,” a name that reflected both his reputation and his connection with the people.

Following his retirement from active service, Hon. Atuluku continued his lifelong commitment to society by venturing into politics. He became a prominent and influential figure, contributing significantly to grassroots development and political organization. As a devoted and steadfast member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he served faithfully until his passing.

Throughout his political career, he held several key positions, including Ward Chairman of the PDP, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Dekina Local Government, and Chairman of the Elders’ Forum of the party. In all these roles, he was known for his wisdom, humility, and unwavering loyalty to the ideals of the party and the progress of his people.

Hon. Daniel Atuluku was not only a public servant but also a pillar within his family and community. He lived a life of honor, responsibility, and generosity, touching countless lives with his kindness and leadership. He leaves behind children, relatives, and many admirers who will continue to cherish his legacy.

His passing marks the end of an era, but his impact will remain indelible in the hearts of all who knew him.

Venue: No. 10, Benue Streets, Udaba, Dekina, Kogi State.
From 6pm-Till Dawn

Service of Songs: 30/4/2026
Venue: No:10, Udaba, Dekina, Kogi State.
Time: 9am

Final Interment: 30/4/2026
Immediately after the service of songs his body leaves UDABA, Dekina to OGBAJA for the FINAL INTERMENT.
