The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has extended his warmest congratulations to Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu following his election as the new State Chairman of the party in Kogi State.
Engr. Ezzu emerged as the party’s helmsman during the State Congress held in Lokoja on Tuesday, succeeding the outgoing chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello.
In a statement following the announcement, Hon. Meseko described Engr. Ezzu’s emergence as a “well-deserved victory” and a testament to his long-standing dedication to the party’s ideals.
He noted that Ezzu’s leadership comes at a pivotal time when the party is focused on consolidating its achievements across the state.
“Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu is a man of proven integrity and administrative prowess,” Meseko stated. “His election reflects the collective will of our members to see a more vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking APC in Kogi State.”
Hon. Meseko, who was present at the congress alongside Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, emphasized that the smooth transition of leadership is a sign of the party’s internal health. He noted that the successful conduct of the congress sends a strong signal of unity to the opposition.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary also lauded the party stalwarts for their orderly conduct, stating that the National Working Committee (NWC) remains committed to supporting state chapters that prioritize stability and growth.
Looking ahead, Hon. Meseko urged the new Chairman and the State Executive Committee to hit the ground running. He called for a spirit of reconciliation and grassroots mobilization to ensure the APC remains the dominant political force in the Confluence State.
“The task ahead is significant, but I have no doubt that with the support of Governor Ododo and our teeming members, Engr. Ezzu will lead us to greater heights,” Meseko added.
