Kogi State chairman of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners [NUP], Engr. Clement Otori, Ohida, on behalf of the entire senior Citizens as felicitated with the state governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu, cabinet members and totality of the citizens on the halarious and impactful two years commemoration anniversary.
In a message of felicitation which was made available to media houses and signed by the chairman, Engr. Ohida, described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a God sent to solve the nadir of human quagmire through his actions and purposeful leadership in the last two years.
Engr Ohida, stated that, the coming on board of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as the chief servant of Kogi State has brought relief and rekindled rare hope and opportunity to citizens by his God’s fearing approach to leadership of the state.
The state boss of Nigeria Union of Pensioners stressed that Governor Ododo led administration has excel in human capital and infrastructural pdevelopment by adopting workable policies and programmes to solve the daunting challenges he inherited when he over the mantle of leadership of the confluence State.
He applauded the governor and his team for restoring hope in workers, retirees and citizens by the prompt payment of worker’s salary, restoration of leave bunus and other emoluments, and several policies granted for the retirees in the state asserting that the restoration of one hundred pension to all categories of Pensioners, inclusion of members in the health insurance scheme and payment of additional ten thousand to Pensioners deserve applause and praises.
Engr. Ohida, equally acknowledged the masses infrastructural development achievements of the governor within the last two years stating that the three senatorial districts are witnessing monumental road networks, health care services, agriculture, education, scholarship to indigent students, youth, women, wisdows and physically challenged empowerments which are clear testimony of his quality leadership.
He admonished citizens unwavering collaboration and support to Governor Ododo’s led administration to enable his administration placed the state on the pedestal of balance and sustainable human and infrastructure development.
Engr. Ohida, pray God almighty to continue to provide sound health, renewed strength , vigour, wisdom, knowledge to the Governor in a onerous task to overcome the plathoral of socio-economics problems which entangled the state and facilitate overall transformation to the state and its people.
