I m fully aware that supporting a second termer in the National Assembly for a third term in office is always faced with resistance of “Na-only-him-de?” Or “he or she-is-too-long-in-office” sentiments.

But what we should know or bear in mind is that experience matters in the politics, in the National Assembly.

I choose distinguished Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims and Hon David Zach in particular, because this people have proven records in their performance at the National Assembly. Aside that, they have tangible and remarkable projects to their names. I mean verifiable projects.

Under their active and quality representation, we have seen our representatives constructing roads, building hospitals, rice mills. They are also carrying out youths empowerment and giving our people jobs.

If I’m to rate their performances, they have done well and if given chance to return which is going to be more to our advantage, they will do more and do more better.

The certainty of APC going to have the majority in the National Assembly is 80%.

We don’t have to jeopardize the chance of producing principal officers or gamble not to produce high ranking members from our region.

An experienced law maker is far better than a “newbies” that will still have to need time to learn the politics in National Assembly.

The 3rd term agitation for our National Assembly members is not born out of desire for power, but it’s essential to us in terms of attracting more projects, employment and empowerment to our region.

In my candid opinion, let us enter an agreement with our representatives and let us return them.

This is not the best time to glamour for the change among those representing us at the National Assembly. We need leaders.

This is our frontline leaders that can be our ladder to connect us to the national politics and bringing up our matter up in the national political discuss. We need them to return my people of Kogi East.

My candid advice.
