Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has pledged its continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s undeniable efforts at reworking the nation’s entire governance architecture.
In a statement issued by the Director General, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, TSG bemoaned the sudden spike in cases of insecurity and/or attacks in some parts of the country, particularly the North West, North Central and North East geo-political zones.
TSG expressed concerns about zones that have had to face an upsurge in various attacks against army formation, schools, and worship centres with particular reference to “25 young girls of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Dango/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, the death of Brigadier-General Musa Uba, Commander of the 25 Task Force Brigade by the reprobates Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) buzzards along Damboa-Biu axis in Borno State as well as the attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State”.
The group reiterated its staunch belief in the ability of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic to take very decisive action at addressing the recent experience.
“We believe, very strongly, that the last 12 months of his administration until recently had witnessed commendable reduction in security threats (attacks) across the country. The incessant banditry attacks along the North West corridor had greatly reduced while our security apparatus has continued to score big against the insurgents in the North East.
“Following our last press release, the group has carefully followed events as they unfold and have noticed with deep reflection, the empathy displayed by Mr. President in this trying moment in our national life. Of note, and which is highly commendable was the decision of Mr. President to jettison his engagement at the all-important G20 Summit in South Africa and the Angola trip to stay back and work assiduously with the various security agencies in proffering solution to the recent development. His decision to personally oversee and coordinate the rescue efforts further defines his personality as a man whose leadership philosophy revolves around the people’s welfare. We say kudos to Mr. President!”
TSG congratulated the victims and families of those who were recently attacked and had been rescued by our security agents, especially the young girls from Government Comprehensive Secondary School in Kebbi State, and the Eruku worshippers in Kwara State.
The group commended the Federal Government under the able ascendancy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for its commitment on securing not only the territorial integrity of Nigeria but also her people, the leadership of the various security agents, state governments as well as members of the public who provided useful intelligence in the rescue mission and as it continues to secure the release of other victims.
“We believe the reward for such commendation is more commitment from the relevant stakeholders to secure the release of the remaining victims of these dastardly attacks. We know and are aware that the Federal Government’s efforts continue non-stop despite the minor victory against these buzzards in the past few hours. We will continue to lend our support to Mr. President, our security agencies and the Nigerian people at large in promoting a liveable and egalitarian society.
“As a support group of Mr. President, we remain resolute in support of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s undeniable efforts at reworking the entire governance architecture of the country. We believe he has the capacity to rewrite history and put the country on a path of steady progress,” the statement added.
