Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro, alongside his committed supporters, has emphasized that the activities observed at the recent event do not represent the commencement of any public campaign.
He said as responsible and law-abiding citizens, they remain fully conscious of the Electoral Act, which stipulates that political campaigns may only begin 150 days before the election and must cease 24 hours before polling day.
He explained that the meeting was purely a strategic engagement with stakeholders, designed to reinforce internal structures, align objectives, and enhance overall readiness for future political activities.
The inauguration conducted by Chief Obaro focused solely on establishing the Campaign Committees, marking a crucial step in the team’s early organizational preparations. The event brought together Steering Committee members from all Local Government Areas, who were formally inaugurated to commence duties centered on broad consultations, information gathering, feedback management, and advisory responsibilities—nothing beyond these lawful tasks.
More specialized and valuable committees will soon be created to further strengthen the movement’s structure, widen its reach, and improve operational efficiency. We therefore call on all supporters who have shown interest in this project to prepare themselves, as new opportunities for meaningful service and participation will emerge shortly.
“Together, we remain steadfast in our commitment to a lawful, well-organized, and people-centered political process that prioritizes the collective good above all,” he said.
