Dr. Toyosi Akure, the Founder of the Toyosi Akure Foundation and a Renowned Philanthropist, has urged Yagba born politicians and leaders to empower Yagba youths and save them from idleness.
Akure, in a statement issued on Monday, called on Yagba politicians to rescue the youths from idleness and support their growth.
According to him, most youths are wandering the street without any support from their representatives, thereby prompting them to embrace thuggery and forms of social vices in the society.
“We have graduates in Yagba roaming the street doing nothing but no support from the leaders to fix them.
“Some youth have the vocational skills, technical skills but no financial support to set up their business.
“This is worrisome when talents are wasted. When graduates with good results have no place to go but to argue at a vendor spot.
“I call on the Yagba politicians, and leaders to rescue the youths from idleness. Give them the federal slots allocated to you so they will not become a burden to the society,” he said.
The Yagba born Philanthropist also encouraged politicians to always organize a massive empowerment program for the youths in the area to feel the dividend of Democracy.
“It is not when politics is around the corner that they will be useful. Yagba youths are not campaign tools. Make it a habit to care for Yagba youths always,” he concluded.
