Dr. Toyosi Akure, the Founder of the Toyosi Akure Foundation and a Renowned Philanthropist, has warned politicians not to play politics with the heightened insecurity in Yagba land, but to unite and tackle the menace.

Akure, in a statement issued on Tuesday, warned yagba politicians to prioritize safety of their people above any political permutations.

According to him, no amount of politicking can console the heart of the yagba masses, except actions.

“We need more than consistent press statements from Yagba politicians, we need actions to protect the lives and properties of our people.

“Don’t play politics with people’s life. Yagba politicians must defend their root and safe the masses from terrorists, pain and anguish.

“Irrespective of political differences or party affiliations, Yagba politicians must come together and map out way forward to tackle insecurity.

“The situation calls for collective actions. We can’t rely on security agents alone because we all have a role to play to rescue Yagba,” he echoed.

The philanthropist noted that while economic policies are crucial for national development, they must be complemented by robust security measures to ensure their success.

He called on the government to prioritize security, particularly in rural and conflict-prone areas where economic activities are often disrupted by criminal activities.

Akure urged security agencies to intensify efforts in tackling banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of insecurity, which have hindered economic growth in several areas.

He also advocated for community-based security initiatives and collaboration between law enforcement and local communities to enhance intelligence gathering and crime prevention.

The Yagba born Philanthropist, however urged well-meaning individuals and organizations to support security awareness campaigns and provide assistance to victims of insecurity.
