Rev. Fr. Wilfred Ezeamba of St Paul Parish, Agaliga-Efabo in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state has been released by his abductors.
The Catholic Priest who was kidnapped on Friday, September 12, 2025 in Kogi state regained his freedom on Tuesday.
Rev. Fr. Ezeamba was abducted on Imane-Ogugu road while on his way home from a burial in Imane community also in Olamaboro Local Government.
Reports said residents of Agaliga-Efabo burst into jubilation as Rev. Ezeamba emerged in the village.
Meanwhile, two suspects had earlier been arrested in connection with his kidnap.
It can not be ascertained whether a ransom was paid before his release.
Police are investigating the incident.
