Every generation produces a leader whose resilience, foresight, and strategy reshape the course of history. For Nigeria today, that leader is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. His journey from the trenches to the pinnacle of power has been marked by battles won through courage, planning, and sheer political brilliance.
Asiwaju Tinubu is not a man who stumbled into greatness; he is a man who designed it. He is a renowned strategist with the heart of a people’s servant. Every move he makes is deliberate, every sacrifice calculated, every reform targeted at building a Nigeria that must rise to enviable heights, regardless of the initial pains.
From his days as Governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu has established himself as a master planner and articulate executor. He transformed Lagos into Nigeria’s economic powerhouse by building institutions, reforming tax systems, expanding infrastructure, and investing in human capital.
What Lagos is today is a living testimony of his foresight. Lagos did not become Africa’s fifth-largest economy by accident, it was Asiwaju Tinubu’s blueprint, carefully designed and faithfully executed, that laid the foundation.
As President, he has brought that same precision to the national stage. He knows that true leadership is not about popularity contests or political slogans; it is about tough decisions today for prosperity tomorrow.
From Day One, President Tinubu refused to play politics with Nigeria’s destiny. He removed the fraudulent fuel subsidy, a racket that drained trillions and enriched a few at the expense of the nation. He unified the exchange rate, dismantling a system that rewarded corruption while discouraging investment.
These reforms are with temporary pains, the labor of a nation giving birth to a better tomorrow. Tinubu understands that history does not remember those who shy away from hard choices; it celebrates those who confront entrenched interests and pave the way for future generations.
It is laughable, if not insulting to Nigerians, that some within the opposition coalition still imagine they can rival President Tinubu’s stature.
Some of them have contested for the presidency several times and failed. Their record is not one of vision but of desperation. They represent the old order, politics of entitlement, wealth without productivity, and ambition without legacy. They never built a state, never transformed an economy, never united a people. They are perpetual candidates, not statesmen.
Some thrive on social media, masters of slogans without substance. Governance is not hashtags or emotional campaigns, it is strategy, structure, and sacrifice. Their past records were modest at best. Unlike Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, they lack the national reach, political machinery, and ideological depth to lead a complex country like Nigeria.
Ironically, some of them were once protégés who benefited from President Tinubu’s political structure. But like many who bite the hand that fed them, they now seek to rewrite history. The truth is simple: they owe their rise to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and cannot now pretend to stand in judgment over their benefactor. President Tinubu is not their mate. Politically, strategically, and historically, he is leagues ahead of them.
What makes President Tinubu different is his ability to see the future and build structures that outlive him. He is not just a participant in Nigerian politics; he is its architect.
He built the Action Congress (AC), which became the rallying point of opposition, he masterminded the APC merger of 2013, uniting disparate political forces to end PDP’s 16-year dominance, he raised leaders across Nigeria, governors, ministers, legislators, many of whom now occupy positions of power.
Even his fiercest opponents privately admit that President Tinubu understands Nigerian politics better than anyone in the opposition coalition. He knows when to wait, when to strike, when to compromise, and when to fight. He is the chess master in a game where others are mere checkers players.
History is already recording the difference. While the opposition will be remembered as men who sought power but never redefined it, President Tinubu will be remembered as the leader who took a nation on the brink and chose courage over cowardice.
History will remember him as the man who broke the back of subsidy corruption.
History will remember him as the leader who dared to unify the naira.
History will remember him as the strategist who built coalitions that reshaped Nigerian democracy.
History will remember him as the reformer who placed the future above comfort.
For his opponents, history will record only noise, ambition, and failure. For Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, history will record courage, resilience, and reform.
President Tinubu’s resilience is unmatched. He has been betrayed, persecuted, and backstabbed yet each trial only made him stronger. He thrives in adversity, turns challenges into opportunities, and always emerges steps ahead of his rivals.
That is why no coalition can stop him from winning the 2027 presidential election. They do not have his depth, his reach, his vision, or his courage. President Tinubu is not their mate.
In the brutal arena of Nigerian politics, he stands alone as the Strategist King, a man who built his throne not by chance, but by wit, sacrifice, and service.
Nigeria will celebrate the wisdom of Tinubu’s reforms in 2031. The people are gradually seeing the full picture, history will vindicate him. When the noise of today fades, when the lies of the opposition are forgotten, the verdict will be clear, Nigerians will massively renew his mandate in 2027 to continue as the President and leader who is resetting Nigeria’s destiny.
