“Her Excellency has made a great difference in the lives of children, women, the vulnerable people, the physically challenged, disabilities and the less privileged. In several towns and rural communities, she has distributed food items, financial support wheelchairs, walking aids reaffirming her unwavering commitment to inclusivity.

“The First Lady is a strong advocate for the rights of the girl-child, frequently using her platform to speak out against early marriage, sexual abuse, and gender-based violence. Across hospitals in Kogi State, the First Lady has provided delivery kits, diapers, baby care items, and cash assistance to pregnant women and new mothers. Her hospital visits are always heartfelt, leaving trails of joy, gratitude, and renewed hope,” he said.

Hon. Usman Abdulrahim gave credit to Governo Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving the state such an amazing woman as first lady and submitted that they are both blessings to each other and to Kogi state.

“There is a woman behind every successful man.

”I want to assure you that with Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo’s economic empowerment, poverty will be reduced drastically. This will remove the women and less privileged from begging and make them symbol of independence and value.

“To the beneficiaries, I urge you to use those items wisely, grow your businesses, empower yourself, and in doing so, grow the wealth of your families and of Kogi.

When more women are empowered to lead, everyone benefits. Decades of studies show women leaders help increase productivity, enhance collaboration, inspire organizational dedication, and improve fairness. With the leadership style of Her Excellency, we can all agree to the benefit of having a just and a God fearing woman as first lady,” he stated.

Hon. Usman Abdulrahim urged Kogi women home and abroad to support Hajia Ododo and her husband’s continuity in office.
