Enough of Felele Trucks ‘Accidents Initiative (EFTAI)
Today marks the 80th day of this campaign against sorrow, blood and tears on Felele road and re-echoes the need to take that road seriously for good!
We want all to know, that for every seconds that action(s) to right the wrong is counting, we are taking needless risk for another sad occurrence, sitting on a loaded gun, with dancing trigger.
We are appreciating the support of Chief Femi Akande thus far, the MD and Owner of Treasures Int. Investments and that, in particular of His Excellency, retired but not tired, Distinguish Senator, Father and General Tunde Jonathan Ogbeha.
We are therefore, reiterating our calls on the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to consider the following as laid before now and still being re-laid:
- Convoke a forum to discuss the best and possible solutions to the road to avoid needless lives wasting and avert any further accident on FELELE road.
- Fund the production of the materials for behavioral campaign change for attitudinal aspect on the road
- Take advantage of correction to redesign the structure of that portion of the road, for even job creation opportunities and for the state to earn more revenue for the state.
- To direct the attention of the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Housing as well as the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Development to this subject.
It is our believe that, the working and listening Governor will find in his heart a place for this and as a matter of urgency.
Numerically, in ten (10) days to come, we shall be talking of Ninety (90) days of this campaign, we do humbly hope and pray that, by or before then, the process to get it fixed had begun. Amen
Again, our appeal goes to spirited individuals who have what it takes to fund this project, not to leave it to the Government alone, unfortunately, ACCIDENTS do not SEPERATE the HAVES from the HAVE-NOTS and their CHILDREN.
To all users of the road, which we can proudly say it’s global, as even white men passes through the road to either the North or East or or South or West, may God keep protecting us all. Amen.
