The Ebira Emancipation Movement has broken its silence with a fiery condemnation of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s continued absence from the Senate, branding it a “shameful betrayal” of Kogi Central’s constitutional rights.
In a scathing statement signed by Onimisi Samson, the group demanded an immediate public apology from the suspended senator and her unconditional return to the Senate, warning that her “self-serving arrogance” has left the region politically paralyzed for far too long.
“The court’s ruling was clear—no ambiguity, no excuses!” the statement thundered. “Yet, Natasha’s delay tactics and inflated ego continue to rob Kogi Central of representation while she plays games with our future. This is an insult to the Ebira people and a disgrace to our values!”
The Movement accused the senator of prioritizing personal vendettas over public duty, leaving Kogi Central voiceless in critical national debates.
“Our people have suffered enough deprivation. If she has any honor left, she must apologize, swallow her pride, and resume her duties—immediately!”
The group vowed to escalate protests and legal pressure until justice is served, declaring: “Kogi Central will no longer tolerate this brazen disrespect. The Senate seat is not Natasha’s personal throne—it belongs to the people!”
