A former chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Kogi State, Comrade Ibrahim Obansa, has advised the 9th Assembly to work in synergy with the executive, to make laws that will address Nigeria’s security challenges and revive the economy.

He said now that the ruling party is fully in charge of the two chambers of the National Assembly, President Muhammadu Buhari has no reason not to deliver on his much talked about “Next Level.”

“My expectation is that now that the APC ruling government has its own people in the saddle, we expect that the progress that eluded Nigerians in the 8th Assembly should be achieved.

“The APC-led Federal Government kept on blaming Saraki and Dogara for its non-performance to the extent that President Buhari tagged them as unpatriotic,” he said.

He further charged the lawmakers to enact laws that will help the downtrodden and bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
