3 Missionaries Kidnapped in Kogi

Unknown gunmen abducted three missionaries along the Ochadamu-Okele- Ejule road on Friday in Ofu Local Government of Kogi state.

The victims, Evangelist Peter Adigidzi, Pastor Mike Baba and Pastor Sunday Abah are working with the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in the state. They were on ministerial assignment to Ofu LGA when they were kidnapped.

A source from the family of one of the abducted pastors said the kidnappers have put a call across, demanding N80m before the missionaries can be released.

Kogi State Police command confirmed their abduction, adding that they are on the trail of gunmen.

Spokesman of the command, SP Williams Aya said efforts are being made to rescue them alive.

Kogi State Coordinator of CEM, Evangelist Charles Esho said that the three missionaries were residents of Lokoja, the state capital.

Esho called on Nigerians to join CEM in prayers for divine rescue and safe return of the three missionaries.
