As the political landscape in Kogi State intensifies ahead of the forthcoming general elections, a prominent grassroots mobilization group has projected a decisive victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Under the strategic leadership of Director General Hon. Haruna Ganaja and the Coordinator of the Tinubu, Ododo Polling Units Voice (Top-V), Hon. Lawal Egbolo, the organization maintains that the ruling party is firmly positioned for a landslide win.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Hon. Egbolo revealed a strategic blueprint aimed at consolidating the party’s hold on the Confluence State. According to him, the group’s primary mandate is to execute a “positive and radical” campaign across all 4,351 polling units in the state to ensure total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Hon. Egbolo emphasized that Top-V is not just another political pressure group but a structured movement integrated into the very fabric of the local communities.

“Top-V is set to mobilize for Mr. President, Governor Ododo, and all APC candidates across Kogi State. We are integrated into the grassroots, which is the base of every electoral victory,” Egbolo stated.
He further explained that the group is moving beyond mere canvassing by introducing a “feedback machinery” across the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. This initiative, he noted, is designed to bridge the perennial gap between the corridors of power and the ordinary citizen.
The Coordinator maintained that for governance to be effective, there must be a seamless flow of communication between the leaders and the led.
“We shall set in motion a feedback machinery in all the 21 LGAs, thereby bringing governance close to the grassroots by bridging the gap between government and the people,” he added.
The emergence of Top-V has already sent ripples through the state’s political landscape. Observations on the ground suggest that the group has gained significant traction, receiving nods of approval from key political stalwarts, community leaders, and various stakeholders within the APC fold.
Analysts believe that by focusing specifically on the polling unit level, rather than just ward or LGA headquarters, Hon. Egbolo’s team is targeting the “decimal point” of Nigerian elections, where the actual numbers are decided.
With the backing of major party players, Top-V appears positioned to serve as the engine room for the APC’s mobilization efforts in Kogi, as the party seeks to maintain its dominance in both the state and at the federal level.
