Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief (Mrs) Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi, has formally joined the race to represent Kogi West in the senate.
Adedeyin, who was an aspirant in 2023, has picked her APC nomination and intent forms and is eyeing the party’s sole ticket for the 2027 polls.
In a message to Kogi West constituents on Wednesday, Chief Adedoyin said her vision is anchored on inclusive growth, quality education, accessible healthcare, economic empowerment, and improved infrastructure.

“It is a privilege to identify with you—hardworking men, resilient women, vibrant youths, and our revered elders—whose strength and unity continue to shape the progress of our land.
“As I step forward in aspiration to serve you at the senatorial level, I do so with a clear understanding of our shared challenges and a firm commitment to be a voice that truly represents your hopes and aspirations.
“This journey is not about me; it is about us—our future, our development, and the legacy we will leave for generations to come.
“I believe strongly that with the right leadership, our constituency can achieve greater heights where every community feels the impact of good governance.
“I humbly seek your support, your prayers, and your trust as we work together to build a constituency we can all be proud of,” she said.
Chief Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi promised that her doors will always remain open, and the people’s voices will never go unheard.
