The leadership of the Audu/Faleke political family convened a high-level meeting in Abuja on Sunday, mapping out a strategy to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) and secure victory for the party in Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting brought together key figures from the political family, including the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu; Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, leader of the Audu/Faleke political family in Kogi State and head of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Re-election Structure; Prof. Daniel Isa, former Director-General of the Audu/Faleke Campaign Council in 2015; and Hon. Emmanuel Ekele, a stakeholder from Kogi East.
A statement signed by Umar Isah, the Head of Media, Audu/Faleke Political Family, said discussions centered on rallying support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensuring the APC wins across all three senatorial districts of Kogi State — Kogi East, Kogi West, and Kogi Central — in 2027.
To that end, the leaders resolved to prioritize reconciliation within the Audu/Faleke family, welcoming back members willing to return in a bid to build a united political front. They also agreed to immediately roll out a grassroots mobilization structure spanning the three senatorial districts, aimed at driving voter sensitization, registration, and turnout for the party.
Rt. Hon. Faleke commended the Minister of Steel Development for his commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, singling out efforts toward reviving the Ajaokuta Steel Company, which he described as a critical national asset for industrial growth and job creation.
In his remarks, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu pledged to build on the legacy of his late father, Prince Abubakar Audu, vowing to continue working for the development of Kogi State and its integration into a prosperous Nigeria.
The meeting closed with a firm declaration that Kogi State remains solidly behind President Tinubu and the APC as the party looks toward the 2027 elections.
