Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon has emerged National President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS).
Simon and other leaders emerged at the 2025 annual national convention held in Lokoja on Saturday.
Chairman of the Independent Electoral Committees, Comrade Anowuda Lucky Ozovehe, said the convention recorded about 200 Senators across the institutions in Nigeria who came out to cast their votes.
After the voting process, Comrade Ridwan Abubakar Obaje emerged as Senate President, Comrade Ahmed Fadilat Omayioza as Vice President Administration, Comrade Abdulkerim Musa as Secretary General, Comrade Isiaka Usman Amoto as Treasurer, amongst others.
Following the pronouncement of the duly elected Executives, there were Inaugurated according by the ELCOM alongside the stakeholders of the association.
In speech, the newly elected NAKOSS National President, Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon appreciated the electoral committee, senators and stakeholders for ensuring the election was free, fair and credible.
He pledged to enhance and consolidate on the achievement of the immediate past administration, adding that he will be the voice of the students always and anytime.
In addition, he congratulated the past executives for their tirelessness efforts and support towards the growth of the last administration. He equally thanked Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for creating a favourable environment for youth and students to prevail.
He acknowledged Governor Ododo’s timely commitment to payment of bursary to students.
